The first day of the Chinese New Year 4706 is Jan. 26, but celebrations start with a serious bang in Downtown Honolulu’s Chinatown arts and culture district this weekend.

Should you find yourself wanting to welcome the lunar new year with apropos couture, consider Tori Richard’s just-released Year of the Ox shirt. The black embroidered, silk blend Chinese New Year’s shirts are an annual tradition for the Honolulu-based aloha wear designer.
