The Popular Mānoa Falls Trail on Oʻahu Closed This Week
But there are lots of other great hikes on Oʻahu to trek.

The popular trail to Mānoa Falls on O‘ahu is closed starting Monday through Friday, July 12 for improvements to enhance the overall hiking experience, state officials said.
The 0.8-mile trail is expected to reopen on Saturday, July 13.
The work will include widening the trail corridor, installing new signs and reducing water runoff to address soil erosion and slippery conditions.
About 200,000 visitors hit this state-run trail every year. The high number of hikers coupled with the wet conditions in the valley have resulted in uneven terrain, making parts of the trail hazardous.

If you had plans to hike to the 150-foot falls, don’t worry. There are plenty of other hikes to hit up on O‘ahu instead.
Ka‘iwa Ridge Trail is a short-but-challenging trek to the Lanikai Pillboxes overlooking Kailua.
Makapu’u Point Lighthouse Trail follows a mile-long, paved road along the rugged Kaiwi Coastline, with stunning views of East Honolulu and the southeastern coast of O‘ahu.

Diamond Head Summit Trail is an 0.8-mile trek is almost entirely uphill—and hot—to the top of one of Hawaiʻi’s most recognizable landmark.
