The Best Wedding Locations in Hawaii: HAWAII Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards 2016
Wedding season is upon us. Generally, June through September are peak wedding months and because of Hawaii’s consistent weather and aloha spirit, its beaches and resorts are calling. 1. Grand Wailea
Maui — This luxurious property claimed this year’s top spot as the ultimate destination-wedding venue, not just in Maui, but in all of Hawaii. With five outdoor venues to choose from, the Grand Wailea can set up a space for small, intimate weddings to larger parties, and yes, it has quite the view of the beach and Pacific Ocean.
2. Makena Beach & Golf Resort
Maui — Unfortunately, this hotel that originally opened 30 years ago as the Maui Prince Hotel and a popular site for vow renewals, will be closing on July 1.
3. Turtle Bay Resort
Oahu — This venue was voted as the place to have a toes-in-the-sand wedding ceremony. It offers serenity and solitude (and a ballroom!) for newlyweds who want to gather their friends and family on the island’s famous North Shore.
4. Poipu Beach
Kauai — On the south coast of the island, this wedding and honeymoon spot is a favorite for destination-wedding planners.
