Shop Hawaiʻi-Made Gifts at House of Mana Up in Kakaʻako
The new Ward Village location offers a curated selection of local art, fashion, home decor and beauty and food products.

Since 2020 the House of Mana Up has served as a public retail space for 100% Hawaiʻi-based artisans, designers and makers to share Hawaiʻi’s ingredients and culture with the world.
This month the local retailer opened its new Kakaʻako store inside South Shore Market in Ward Village. There are now five locations across O‘ahu and Hawai‘i Island.

Inside is the frst-ever Averylily in-house boutique at House of Mana Up, offering the only curated collection of Averlily luxury home decor and goods featuring designs from local artists.

All of the companies featured in the store have completed the Mana Up accelerator program, which helps local companies grow and scale globally—95 companies to date.
“Creating more sales channels for these companies aligns perfectly with our mission to help Hawai‘i’s entrepreneurs grow and scale, contributing to the state’s economy and creating local jobs,” said Meli James, co-founder of Mana Up.
Here are five companies to browse at the new location.
Jules + Gem Hawai‘i was launched in 2017 by Lana Gronwald. Her candles, soaps and fragrances celebrate Hawaiʻi flowers such as pīkake, puakenikeni and pakalana and tropical fruits such as passion fruit, guava and lychee.

Lexbreezy is a second-generation, Native Hawaiian fashion designer whose apparel embodies Hawaiian culture and the aloha spirit. Shop dresses, bags, insulated water bottles and more at this location.

Mālama Mushrooms is a family business based in Kailua-Kona on Hawaiʻi Island founded by Benjamin Lillibride. He makes everyday wellness products using mushrooms. Formulas come in tincture, powder and chocolate form. Try the ground coffee with lion’s mane mushrooms, said to boost focus, cognition and memory.

Maui Chili Chili Oil is a husband and wife team on Maui. During the pandemic the couple launched its version of chili crisp made with crunchy bits of garlic and Maui onion. Available in mild, medium, spicy and something called “yikes kine,” use this addictive condiment on everything from pizza to dumplings, rice, meat and fish.

An exciting new addition is Averylily, a high-quality home collection only available online or at this location. The back of the store is adorned with combed cotton coverlettes, 510-thread count pure cotton percale (sheets), luxurious Aegean cotton bath towels and plush throw pillows, with designs that evoke the ocean, waterfalls, native plants and culture of Hawai’i.

Beyond local goods the new 1,292-square-foot space will also hold monthly events and workshops led by Mana Up entrepreneurs.
