This week on the “Have Aloha Will Travel” podcast, Kevin and Cat are joined by HAWAIʻI Magazine intern, Kyla Smith, to talk about the latest summer issue.
With May on the way out, and June just around the corner, HAWAIʻI Magazine is welcoming in the summer season with a new episode of the “Have Aloha Will Travel” podcast—and a new summer intern! Kyla Smith, a Kaimukī local who has a passion for art and drawing, got off the rock and double majored in Asian Studies and Asian American Studies at Scripps College in Claremont, California. And we’re very happy to have her.
The crew also gives a sneak peek at some of our special summer issue stories. Packed to the brim with stories about Hawaiʻi, one of our main features, Summer Dreamin’ is full of picturesque summer visions provided to us by some of the island’s best photographers and Instagram influencers. It may not fully satiate your wanderlust and need to travel, but hopefully it helps, and you can pick up the issue here.
Cat also wrote a story about brunch on Oʻahu, and the extremely comprehensive list mentions island favorites like Piggy Smalls, Bogart’s Café and Koko Head Café, while Kevin also talks about his Lahaina Animal Farm & Petting Zoo experience on Maui.
