Kelsey Grammer recuperating in Honolulu after heart attack

“Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer is in a Honolulu hospital after suffering a mild heart attack over the weekend.
The Emmy-winning actor’s spokesman Stan Rosenfield says in a statement that Grammer had the attack Saturday morning while paddle-boarding with his wife Camille on the Big Island’s Kona Coast.
Grammer, 53, was initially treated at Kona Community Hospital, before being airlifted to a Honolulu hospital for more tests.
Rosenfield said today that Grammer was still recuperating in Honolulu, doing fine and would be released sometime this week.
Grammer, who has a home on the Big Island, is best known for playing psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane on the hit sitcoms “Frasier” and “Cheers.” “Back to You,” his most recent television series, was canceled by FOX in May after a single season.
