Hawaiian Airlines Adds Direct Route Between Honolulu and Salt Lake City
The new route will start in May 2024, but tickets are already on sale.

Starting today, Hawaiian Airlines is selling tickets on its first-ever direct route between Honolulu and Salt Lake City.
The direct flight is roughly six hours long aboard Hawaiian’s 189-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft. Service starts on May 15, 2024.
This is the airline’s 16th direct flight between Hawaiʻi and the U.S. Mainland—the most of any carrier serving the Islands.
“We know this new route will excite travelers in both Utah and Hawaiʻi given our tourism and education ties, and shared Pacific Island communities,” says Peter Ingram, Hawaiian Airlines president and CEO, in a news release. “We are eager to strengthen these relationships when we launch our service next summer.”

Utah has one of the highest concentration of Pacific Islanders in the country with about 60,000 residing in the state. And both Hawaiʻi and Utah have campuses for Brigham Young University.
Currently, Delta Airlines runs two direct flights between Hawaiʻi and Salt Lake City, including one to Honolulu.
