Have Aloha Will Travel 125: Kevin’s Last Podcast (Again)
Co-host Kevin Allen is leaving Hawaiʻi for a new life in Japan.

Say it’s not so—again.
Kevin Allen, who spent the last year as editor of HAWAIʻI Magazine, is leaving once again, this time to live in Tokyo. (He left back in 2022; we said goodbye back in episode 79.)
In this episode, he reminisces about some of his favorite stories, including:
- His first-ever story for the magazine about Hawaiian kanpachi
- A story about how to throw the shaka that went viral
- Riding Biki, Honolulu’s first and only bike-sharing program
- Shaping a surfboard with his dad
- Diving with sharks on Oʻahu’s North Shore

Kevin never remembers to bring a jacket. (This is at the Waimea Canyon lookout on Kauaʻi.)

Best wishes, Kevin! (Though I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of him!)
