OAHU

Art after Dark
A monthly art party organized by the Honolulu Museum of Art, this month’s Art After Dark will bring partygoers into a horror-inspired carnival. Food and drinks will be provided by EAT Honolulu, and DJ’s will be spinning their ghastly tunes in the museum’s courtyards all night long. 6 to 9 p.m., $25, honolulumuseum.org.

Hallowbaloo
A center for art and nightlife, Chinatown is the perfect place to throw a banging street party, and that’s exactly what Hallowbaloo does. Featuring music, arts and craft beer, a $15 entry wristband is all it takes to get into this street festival. Halloween on the Waikiki strip
A yearly tradition, every Halloween the Waikiki strip turns into a hot spot for ghouls and ghosts to mingle and party. And whether you decide to walk around and admire some of the intricately designed costumes or party it up at one of the many hotel events, such as the Frightnite: Halloween Royale being thrown by the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort, spending the night in Waikiki will definitely give you the thrills you’re looking for.

Spookfest 2018
Presented by Kalama Intermediate, this spooky family-friendly event has activities for both keiki (kids) and adults. Halloween in Lahaina
Much like Waikiki, Lahaina makes a terrifying transformation when Halloween arrives. Front Street turns into fright street as costume-clad locals and visitors come out to play. Tahiti Nui’s Voodoo Ranger Costume Party
Hosted at Tahiti Nui Restaurant in Hanalei, this 21+ costume party is a great choice for those looking to get a little wild on this All hallows Eve. With three bars running at all times, getting your drink on might be a little too easy, so take advantage of the event’s shuttle service, which will make regular runs to the Princeville and Kilauea areas. KISS ROCKTOBER Concert
Do you want to rock? Because the vocalists and musicians of the Kauai Island Singers Showcase sure do. Starting at 7 p.m., rock ’n’ roll classics will blast out of the All Saints Church gym in Kapaa, including some spooky twists on age-old lyrics. Creepshow: A Scare in the Air
It’s not your average Halloween event. Watch as costumed aerialists climb, swing and fly high above the ground. The 90-minute show includes 15 heart-stopping acts. Families with young children may want to look elsewhere for their Halloween experience; the event is rated PG-13 and includes brief scenes of sensual self-expression.
