For anyone working from home, video conference calls are the new normal.

And since we all can’t travel right now, why not pretend you’re working from paradise?

Our talented staff photographers—David Croxford (@magphotoguy) and Aaron K. Yoshino (@honozooloo)—snapped these gorgeous photos of Oʻahu, from an inspiring sunrise at Lanikai to a secluded stretch of sand at Makapuʻu Beach. Use these images as your virtual backgrounds—it’s easier than trying to tidy up your living room or home office!

Here are six free Hawaiʻi backgrounds perfect for your next Zoom meeting that will make you—and everyone else on the call—dream about the Islands.

  2. Once you log into your Zoom call, click the arrow directly to the right of the “Stop video” icon near the bottom left of the screen. From the pop up, click on the “Choose a virtual background” and select the images you want.
