While it may be located on one of the remote corners of Hawaii, the Four Seasons Resort Lanai proves itself to be the most wired-in resort in the Islands. Waterproof wristbands instead of key cards. Heated bidets with more controls than a television remote control.

The waterproof wristband (right) is used in place of a key card and can be worn during your entire stay.

Speaking of TVs, one of the sets is built seamlessly into the glass of the bathroom mirror. Following a total renovation, each suite can now confidently call itself a bonafide smart room that works to make your stay that much more relaxing, not instruction manual confusing, with a bells-and-whistles iPad beside your bed that can do everything from set the right mood lighting, summon up the perfect Hawaiian music playlist and draw open an impressive wall to enjoy your view of serene Hulopoe Beach from the lanai (porch).
