Allegiant expanding air service to Hawaii with first-ever Honolulu-Monterey, Calif. route

Allegiant Air, a Nevada-based airline owned by Allegiant Travel Company, announced today that starting in mid-November it will provide nonstop air service from Monterey, Calif. to Honolulu. The addition of the community between Los Angeles and San Francisco brings the airline’s planned mainland-Oahu lineup to include seven cities in Western states.

And earlier this month, Allegiant Air began booking passengers for flights, starting in mid-November, between Honolulu International Airport and Bellingham, Wash., Eugene, Ore., Santa Maria, Calif., and Stockton, Calif. In addition, it will fly from Maui’s Kahului Airport to Bellingham, beginning on Nov. 14.
Allegiant Air is offering introductory fares for Honolulu-Monterey flights are as low as $199 for air service that’s slated to begin on Nov. 16. However, the fares are limited, not available on all flights and must be purchased by Tues., June 5 for travel by Jan. 15, 2013.
