Have Aloha Will Travel EP132: All About Waikīkī Spam Jam
The 20th annual Waikīkī Spam Jam is this weekend, and we get the scoops from the Queen of Spam.

Who doesn’t love Spam?
People in Hawaiʻi sure do, so much so we have our own food festival devoted to the beloved canned meat.
The Waikīkī Spam Jam celebrates its 20th anniversary this Saturday (April 27), and the annual block party on Kalākaua Avenue is going to be better than ever. There will be more than 30 local restaurants serving a variety of Spam dishes, from Spam nachos to Spam loco moco to, yes, Spam gelato.

We chat with Barbara Campbell, the president of the Waikīkī Spam Jam committee and foundation, to talk about its humble beginnings, what to expect this year, and what’s her favorite preparation of Spam.
