5 Hawaiʻi Beaches Make Tripadvisor’s Top 10 in the U.S.
The award highlights the highest-rated beaches, as rated by travelers who have visited and shared their tips and experiences.
It’s no surprise Hawaiʻi has some of the best beaches in the U.S. That’s one of the main reasons travelers flock to the Islands.
And travelers have also spoken, rating our beaches among the best in the country.
Tripadvisor, the popular travel guidance platform, released its list of best beaches for 2024, and five Hawaiʻi beaches earned spots in the Top 10. (The list is based on a comprehensive analysis of global beach reviews on Tripadvisor over the last year.)

Poʻipū Beach on Kauaʻi earned the No. 2 spot, followed by Kāʻanapali Beach on Maui (No. 3), Waikīkī Beach on Oʻahu (No. 5), Punaluʻu Black Sand Beach on Hawaiʻi Island (No. 8) and Hoʻokipa Beach on Maui (No. 10).
The Kauaʻi beach earned its spot because the “weather is mild, crowds are fewer, and temperatures are more moderate than during the peak summer months,” according to Tripadvisor.
